3g not working

Hiii guys....so i was on stock lp...then i flashed the thunderzap kernel on it...my network was on 3g but i was getting 2g signals despite the fact that 3g signals are good in my area.... Then i flashed back the stock kernel and 3g was back...then after sometime..when i picked up my phone...it was on 2g...then...i tried everything to get back the 3g but wasnt able to(airplane mode on off,rebooting).. And then i decided to revert back to kk....so...i flashed pac man rom...but still the problem persists... 3g is selected but i am getting 2g(e) ..... what to do??.... Plz help me!!!!
